SOVA SCHOLARSHIP

The Yukon School of Visual Arts (SOVA) offers a scholarship of $1,000 each year to a full-time student registered in the Visual Arts Program. The scholarship is handed out annually in January.
To apply, you must:
Be registered full-time in Yukon University’s School of Visual Arts program
Maintain a B Average in the fall term
Demonstrate financial need
Write a brief essay (200 words) describing how the arts contribute to a healthy community and describe how you have contributed to the community through extracurricular activities or community service. Examples of community involvement could include: volunteering for local arts-related activities, contributing time or skills to youth or youth programming, or attending events that support artists and the arts & culture community.

Completed Student Financial Award Application Form
Completed Budget Sheet
Typed essay

WHITEHORSE MOTORS VISUAL ARTS AWARD
As part of their commitment to Yukon and Yukoners, Whitehorse Motors would like to provide a $1,000 award to a Yukon student enrolled full-time in a visual arts program at Yukon University.
Whitehorse Motors is the official Ford Dealership serving Whitehorse and area. They are locally owned and operated and are active sponsors and volunteers in the community.
To apply, you must:
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Be registered full-time in a Yukon University visual arts program
Have resided in the Yukon for a minimum of two years as of the date of award application
Demonstrate financial need
Write an essay (200 words) describing your goals and career plans, and how your program of choice will help you meet these goals
Documents you need to submit:
Completed Student Financial Award Application Form
Completed Budget Sheet
Typed essay. Indicate how long you have lived in the Yukon as of the date of your award application.

NOTE: If no eligible Yukon students, other applicants may be considered upon consultation with Whitehorse Motors.
