ORIENTATION AND FIELD TRIPS

Orientation activities will take place throughout the fall, and will include local tours and field trips. Schedules will be posted here as well as on the whiteboards outside of the SOVA Office.

  • JUNE 8: Registration opens for Fall 2026 courses

  • JULY 26: Last day to apply for KVA Apartments (space permitting)

  • SEPT 1: First day of classes Quarter 1

  • SEPT 7: Labour Day (SOVA closed)

  • SEPT 11: Tuition deadline / Last day to add/drop Quarter 1 courses

  • SEPT 18: Quarter 1 - Last day to withdraw without academic penalty

  • SEPT 30: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation Holiday (SOVA closed)

  • OCT 5: Registration opens for Winter 2027 courses

  • OCT 12: Thanksgiving Holiday (SOVA closed)

  • OCT 13 - OCT 16: Fall Reading Week (no classes)

  • OCT 19: First day of classes Quarter 2

  • OCT 30: Last day to add/drop Quarter 2 courses

  • NOV 6: Quarter 2 - Last day to withdraw without academic penalty

  • NOV 11: Remembrance Day Holiday (SOVA Office closed)

  • NOV 30: Last day of classes

  • DEC 1 & 2: Studio clean-up and exhibition prep

  • DEC 3: MID-YEAR OPEN HOUSE AND EXHIBITION

  • DEC 4 - JAN 3 : WINTER BREAK

  • JAN 4: SOVA Admin Office opens / First day of classes Quarter 3

  • MAR 12: Quarter 4 - Last day to withdraw without academic penalty

  • MAR 26: Good Friday (SOVA Office closed)

  • MAR 29: Easter Monday (SOVA Office closed)

  • APR 5: Last day of classes

  • APR 6 - 7: Studio clean & exhibition prep

  • APR 9: Last day to apply to graduate

  • APR 9: YEAR-END EXHIBITION & GRAD CEREMONY
